Please note that the daily itinerary may shift based on weather, trail conditions and what will provide the best experience for the group. Flexibility is an important part of traveling in the mountains, and we’ll adjust plans as needed while keeping the overall rhythm and intention of the retreat intact.
Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging
This retreat is designed for active women who are comfortable hiking for several hours at a time. Most hikes are approximately 4–6 miles with 1,500–2,100 feet of elevation gain. You should be comfortable managing at least 1,500 feet of elevation gain and prepared for days reaching approximately 2,100 feet.
You don’t need to be an expert hiker, but a good level of fitness and sure-footedness on narrow, rocky, and uneven mountain trails are important. Some sections may be steep and require careful footing on both the ascent and descent. Proper hiking equipment is essential, including trail shoes or hiking boots with good traction and hiking poles.
Our days are thoughtfully balanced, with time to enjoy the scenery, stop for lunch at mountain huts, and recover with yoga, workshops, and downtime at the chalet.
Your Home in the Mountains
Where you stay is an important part of the experience. Our Chamonix retreats are hosted in beautiful, spacious chalets chosen for their comfort, character, and easy access to the valley.
Depending on the retreat dates, we stay at one of two carefully selected homes, each offering inviting communal spaces, comfortable bedrooms, and plenty of room to relax after a day in the mountains.
Chalet assignment varies by retreat date and is listed on each trip page.
